🚨 THIS IS THE MOMENT: HOW TO STOP THE COUNTRYSIDE BEING SACRIFICED

🚨 THIS IS THE MOMENT: HOW TO STOP THE COUNTRYSIDE BEING SACRIFICED
For months — even years — people across the country have been asking the same question:
“Why does it feel like every field is under threat?”
Solar farms.
Battery sites.
Substations.
Pylons.
Grid corridors.
Always in the countryside.
Always on farmland.
Always “strategic”.
Always pushed through even when communities object.
Now we know why.
The Government has published a new planning policy that makes it much easier to industrialise the countryside and much harder for local communities to stop it.
And right now — this is critical — there is a public consultation where objections can still be submitted.
If people stay silent, this will pass.
⚠️ WHAT THIS POLICY DOES (IN PLAIN ENGLISH)
The new planning rules:
Make it easier to build on farmland and countryside
Weaken protection for agricultural land
Give huge priority to “infrastructure” like:
Solar farms
Battery storage sites
Substations
Pylons and grid corridors
Make it easier for inspectors to override councils and local communities
In short:
It turns the countryside into an infrastructure zone.
🛑 IF YOU CARE ABOUT THE COUNTRYSIDE, YOU NEED TO ACT
This is not about one village or one project.
This is about changing what the countryside is for.
Once this policy is in place, it will be used again and again and again to justify industrialising rural England.
📝 THE GOOD NEWS: OBJECTING IS EASY
You do not need to be an expert.
You do not need to write pages.
You do not need technical knowledge.
Even a short objection counts.
✅ HOW TO OBJECT (TAKES 5 MINUTES)
1️⃣ Click here:
2️⃣ Click “Respond online”
3️⃣ When it asks what you think, you can simply write something like:
“I strongly object to these changes. They will make it easier to cover farmland and countryside with solar farms, battery sites, pylons and substations. They weaken protection for agricultural land and rural communities and override local decision-making. This should be withdrawn.”
4️⃣ Submit.
That’s it.
⏰ Deadline: 10 March 2026
📢 PLEASE SHARE THIS
Most people have no idea this is happening.
By the time they notice, the policy will already be in force.
If enough people object, this can be slowed, amended, or stopped.
If people do nothing, it will go through quietly.
🧱 THIS IS A LINE IN THE SAND
If this passes:
The countryside will no longer be protected by default.
It will become a resource to be used up.
This is the moment to say:
No.

🔥 Optional stronger version for motivated people
If you want to add this at the bottom, you can include:
“I object to the proposed changes to the National Planning Policy Framework in their entirety. These proposals weaken protection for the countryside, agricultural land and rural communities, elevate infrastructure over food security and local democracy, and will lead to widespread industrialisation of rural England. They should be withdrawn.”
